Position: Human Resource/Benefits Coordinator

Description:

The HR/Benefit Specialist will help organize, coordinate and carry out HR/Benefit projects and
processes. The right candidate will possess the ability to work in a fast paced, quickly changing environment.
Tasks:
  • Enroll and terminate employees in the health benefits and carrier portal in a timely manner
  • Maintain employee benefit files and benefit portal
  • Coordinates Open Enrollment process – some travel during OE
  • Reconcile monthly benefit invoices against payroll deductions
  • Coordinates with payroll on employee benefit enrollment
  • Manages 401k retirement account
    • Reconcile records to ensure accuracy between payroll data and 401k vendor information
    • Provide support to employees on 401k and benefits
    • Approves hardships and distributions for retirement account
    • Completes 401k changes in payroll system
    • Assist with 401k annual audit
    • Reconcile loans to vendor portal
    • Uploads weekly contribution deduction/match to vendor portal
    • Maintains termination upload to vendor portal
  • Coordinate with vendor consultants on accuracy for benefits
  • Assist with recruitment processes
  • Assist with Workers Comp Claims and Unemployment Benefits
  • Other duties as assigned.
Skills:
  • Strong understanding of benefit plans to include 401k
  • Understanding of HR policy and procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
Qualities:
  • Excellent time management, organization, communication and leadership skills
  • Self-Motivated
  • Team-Player
Experience:
  • 3-5 years’ experience in 401k processes
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Benefits
  • Excel experience required
